Free tools / Packing slip generator

Free packing slip generator that handles part shipments.

A packing slip lists what is in the box, not what it cost. This one puts ordered beside shipped on every line, so when you can only send part of an order the customer can see what is still to come.

No sign-up. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

How to use it

  1. Click any text and type over it: your company, the delivery address, the slip number.
  2. Add each item with the quantity ordered. Shipped assumes the full quantity until you change it.
  3. If you are sending part of the order, lower Shipped. The line shows how many are to follow, and the totals show the same for the whole order.
  4. Use the second field on a line for a serial number, a lot or a bin.
  5. Use Add a field for the order number, the carrier, a tracking reference or the number of packages.
  6. Leave the signature line on if you want the customer to sign for the delivery.

What a packing slip is, and is not

It travels with the goods and says what is in the consignment, so the person unpacking can check it off. It carries no prices, because the person unpacking is rarely the person who pays, and a box may be a gift or a drop shipment. The invoice says what is owed. The shipping label says where it is going. The packing slip says what is inside.

Why ordered and shipped both matter

When everything ships at once, the two columns match and nobody thinks about it. The day you short-ship, a slip that only lists what is in the box looks like a mistake. One that shows 10 ordered, 6 shipped, 4 to follow answers the phone call before it is made.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no account, no trial and no watermark beyond a small line at the foot of the document.

Can I make the slip from an invoice?

Yes. In the invoice generator, Make the packing slip opens it here with the same lines and the prices left off.

Why are there no prices?

By design. If you need a priced document in the box, print the invoice as well.

Where are my slips kept?

In your browser’s storage on this device. They are not sent to us or anyone else. Use Export as a file for anything you need to keep.

How is this different from a delivery note?

In most trades they are the same document under two names. Click the title and type “Delivery note” if that is what your customers call it.
