How to use it
- Click any text on the invoice and type over it.
- Pick the payment terms in the panel. The due date follows the invoice date, and you can still change it by hand.
- Add your lines, each with its own discount and tax rate.
- Use Add a field for a purchase order number, a project or a salesperson.
- If a deposit was paid, enter it under Paid and the invoice shows the balance due.
- Fill in How to pay with your bank details, then Download PDF or print.
What an invoice must show
Your business and your customer’s. A unique number that follows on from your last one. The date of the invoice and the date payment is due. What was supplied, the quantity and the price. Tax, shown separately from the goods, with the rate. The total, anything already paid, and what is left to pay. How to pay you. Tax rules differ by country, so check what yours requires on a tax invoice.
Payment terms, in plain words
“Net 30” means the full amount is due thirty days after the invoice date. “Due on receipt” means now. Shorter terms bring the money in sooner; the terms your customers expect depend on your trade.

Is it really free?
Yes. There is no account, no trial and no watermark beyond a small line at the foot of the document.
Where are my invoices kept?
In your browser’s storage on this device. They are not sent to us or anyone else. Use Export as a file for anything you need to keep: clearing your browser’s site data removes them.
Can I charge two tax rates on one invoice?
Yes. Every line has its own rate, and the totals show each rate separately with the amount it was charged on.
Does it number invoices for me?
Each new invoice takes the next number on this browser. You can type over it. If you invoice from more than one device, keep the numbering in one place.
Does it take payment?
No. It makes the document. Your customer pays you the way they already do, using the details you put under How to pay.
Can I start from a quote?

Tired of retyping the quote as an invoice?
